I'm evaluating a move over to a new system/ecosystem. I'd like to understand the lack of IBIS in their new cameras. Do they not have the core technology? Is it an issue of component size.integration? Thanks.

XT4 is announcing later this month with integrated IBIS. And XH1 has had IBIS for a long time now. Fuji has just been slower to engineer their IBIS system than others. But soon it will become more common in Fuji-land.

Also keep in mind that not all IBIS systems are equal. Olympus is the state of the art, offering anywhere from 5.5 - 7+ stops depending on gear used. Whereas Sony IBIS is generally not very impressive. Let's see what Fuji can do in comparison. I doubt they'll match Olympus (smaller sensor and many years of experience) but hopefully they'll be better than some others.
