Re: Move from Olympus EM1 II to Sony A7 III?

I used the EM1ii and PanaLeica 100-400 for BIF before and I got some very good images.

One of the benefits of the Sony system that doesn't get talked about as much is the ability to use two different systems with the same lenses. So my primary camera is an A7Riii, but I also have an A6400 specifically for BIF and wildlife. I can get a 900mm FOV equivalency with 24MP of resolution and AF that beats just about anything. Yes the lens is heavy, but I usually don't hike too far with it. Plus as someone else mentioned, with the recent release of the much more compact 70-350, we now have a very good travel option.

I miss the ergos of the Olympus system and some of the features, including their world class IBIS, but the IQ I pull from the Sony system is astonishing. Just be prepared for sensor dust, LOL!
