I'm seeing quite a few undertones of sanctimonious high horse preaching about how one should enjoy the gear they have and just practice getting better at photography. Just stop griping and complaining over the lack of technological advancements from one mark to the next and go take more pictures.

Fine enough.

But this is in fact a gear forum. I can't think of a better place for a community to come together and discuss the pros and cons of upcoming cameras. Maybe I'm crazy.

Nothing wrong with that. However if the cons outweigh the pros, move on up to what you believe is better. You want a bigger sensor you said in one post if I remember correctly. Well that is certainly never going to happen within m4/3, by definition.

There have been masses of incremental improvements by both Olympus and Panasonic in their cameras in the last two years and the choice of m4/3 camera models eclipses any other system by far, so if you remain dissatisfied and would seem likely to remain so, then it is surely time to either replace or add to your existing system. Especially as your main complaint seems to be the very defining essence of the system, the 4/3 sensor, mainly bought from Sony.

Umm, you definitely have the wrong guy. I wouldn't ever ask for a larger M43 sensor, LOL.

I said I think it would be nice if after 6 years, they could have worked with Sony on producing an updated sensor. I don't even want more MP, but throwing in a BSI sensor would most certainly help low light performance at some level. And I don't think they should be recycling old EVF's. This is just my opinion. Some people couldn't care less about the EVF and they still make great images. I agree that Panasonic has made several incremental improvements to their cameras but I just don't see that with Olympus.

And to be certain, I never asked for a larger M43 sensor. That's a tough ask, lol.
