Too late for me. I abandoned the GX when Panasonic watered down the GX8 to satisfy all the whiners. It will take a monumental jump in tech to pry my G9 from my hands. I don’t see that happening with the GX10.

GX and G9 are aimed at a different market, not even remotely similar.

You’re correct. They’re not. The G9 is better in every conceivable way.

Twice the size, weight and price.

Why if you were looking at a GX9 style camera would you be tempted by the G9

Answer is you wouldn't, like comparing a mini to a suv and therefore irrelevant

Except you're wrong. I've owned my GX8 for just over 4 years. I wanted to purchase an updated model. I've now owned my G9 for just over 2 years. Love it. It's my take everywhere daily driver. It takes the same lenses. Uses the same flash. It's more comfortable to use. It's a couple of mm bigger here and there than my GX8. Big deal. The ergonomics more than make up for those extra couple of mm.

Hence my comment that it would now take a VERY big jump in tech to get me back to a GX. I'm not a fashion victim.

Fashion victim? There’s a PEN+F thread for that. 😜

One of the great things about the GX8 is the flat topped body with nothing sticking out, making it easier to carry and less intrusive than any DSLR styled body. It’s also much less bulky that a G9. I compared my GX8 to a G9 and GX9 the other day at Adorama. For me, the GX8 is pretty much the perfect size. Not too big, not too small.
