Too late for me. I abandoned the GX when Panasonic watered down the GX8 to satisfy all the whiners. It will take a monumental jump in tech to pry my G9 from my hands. I don’t see that happening with the GX10.

GX and G9 are aimed at a different market, not even remotely similar.

That may be true for the GX80 and GX800, but the GX8 had a fair amount of overlap with the G9. It handled well with longer lenses, was just about quick enough for wildlife photography (12fps AF-C), and produced very good quality video (although hampered with crop and no IBIS on 4k).

The Fuji X-T3 was quite tempting when it became obvious the GX8 wasn't going to be updated.

If Panasonic keep a 3 tier GX line, more of us will be happy.

GX line as a rangefinder line is targeting more the compactness and use of small lenses.

A GX8 style would make sense if there were enough photography gear buyers out there.

Now after the GX9 I think that Panasonic revert back to releasing two type of rangefinder cameras which makes more logic.

If you want a bigger camera then a G9 make sense. But if you do not look for video or you do not look for reach, then as you state an ASP-C camera like the Fuji can be better. Especially at that price tag with the improved AF mechanism, better EVF etc.
