Latest Fuji X-trans vs Bayer, has X-trans lost it already?

Yep, it's hard to beat this little beast. But as I said in my original post, I'm happy if we all agree that Bayer is as good as X-trans and the days of X-trans superiority are over...

I don't know how important it is to make such a statement. I'm not sure one could argue that x-trans had any kind of superiority when the raw development was so difficult to get right.

But now that we're getting it right, I know that I'm getting results from my x-pro2 that rival the results from my D600 and are better than the D7100 that I had borrowed from a friend. Unfortunately, that is somewhat anecdotal since I haven't owned those cameras for a while.

But suffice it to say that Fuji seems to be still committed to x-trans in their higher end cameras, so if those features are the ones you want, you have to get x-trans.

So is it important? What is the goal? Are we trying to get Fuji to drop x-trans? Or is this just an academic pursuit?
