Re: Do you maintain a different system for different photography needs?

Over semi-recent years I've built up gear, mostly second hand and the occasional big discount new gear, across different systems. None of it what you would call high end. I've pared back and tried to have just one system (I got by with one body and one lens for years in the twilight time before digital), but always end up creeping into multiple systems again. I like variety, I guess.

Each system in my collection has its place - whether for the pleasure of using it (Fujilfim); maximum portability (m4/3); portability, fun and because I have a bunch of old lenses and adapters (Sony APS); dynamic range and access to ultrawide (Nikon DX) or because it got left over from a super tele lens I don't have (Canon APS).

In the end, I love photography but am never going to be too serious about it. They're all just cheap toys.
