Do You Think This Will Work for a Travel Kit?
1

I have a big trip coming up and I think I've decided on purchasing the EM10 mark ii. There's a deal with two lenses and I was thinking about adding a prime as well (specifically the 17 mm 1.8). The trip is to the UK and Ireland, so everything from indoors (the Harry Potter studio tour) to the coast of Ireland. I'm hesitant to bring my DSLR for weight issues.

I'm thinking that if I get it now-ish, that gives me time to play with it and learn it.

I'm a bit worried about the image quality from the kit lenses as I'm seeing different opinions on that. I'll say that I'm a hobbyist for sure, and will be using the images online and in a photobook.

I'd love to hear from people with the kit lenses for travel and how that worked for you? Thank you so much! (New poster here)
