It sort of just evolved, but I use different systems.

I much prefer my M43 for hikes where weight and bulk is a detriment, and when I do infrared. I prefer the DSLR for wide angle stuff and nightscapes. And the lens might determine the body I choose; the DSLR has better long lenses. But I can adapt the DSLR lenses to the M43, so there's crossover.

And each body might have a useful feature, like say a better articulating screen or iPhone app for macro use.

And the iPhone camera is handy for wide stuff any time. And I even have some old bodies, from like 2012, that are just fun to use from time to time.

The output sometimes determines what I use, but since I don't do much printing anyway that's not often a big consideraton.
