EOS R Remote Control Terminal Bulb Minimum Delay Between Shots

Greetings, When shooting via remote control terminal in bulb mode, there is a minimum delay between shots of over one second. Does anyone know of any settings that will decrease this delay? My lens is in manual focus mode and I turned off image review.

I’ve been photographing the ISS for years using a T2i. I take multiple images and stack them to create a continuous trial of the ISS passing across the entire image. When stacked, there is a gap between each trail that I fill in manually. To make this gap as small as possible, I need as short of a delay between exposures as possible.

I built my own intervalometer so that I can trigger with less than one second between exposures. On my T2i, I could go as low as 0.3 seconds between shots. With my EOS R, I can’t go less than one second or it may miss an exposure.

I have been through every setting multiple times and cannot figure out why it will not trigger more quickly. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
