No reviews on YouTube yet, but I am impressed with that price. I expected it to be bundled in kits and sold separately for ~$250. But it isn't being sold in kits according to one vlogger. Maybe Fuji are lowering the cost below the coming Viltrox lenses so they don't lose market share, which might mean XC 23mm f2, 50mm f2, 90mm f2 on the way too. I know this will disappoint the snobs who think plastic and no aperture rings is beneath them; on Facebook yesterday one such snob said there was no point in this lens and that we may as well use cardboard lenses . But it opens new lens options to some of us who can't justify certain XF lenses: the other f2 lens I would love for cheap ($299?) is the 90mm f2, even if they made it f2.8.

Why don't you buy the Viltrox 85mm f1.8 then? Its a great lens and i'm sure used it goes around or below the $300 mark. There are also some Ebay sellers pricing it at $300.

Weight (no way could I justify travel with such a heavy lens for a focal length I would rarely use). Plus the CA (requires raw shooting) and highlight blooming (requires ND filter in strong sun) seal the deal, as I am currently trying to stick with JPG.

Ok makes sense. I only notice CA wide open in bright sunlight or when using flash with hight contrast zones, but for those i shoot RAW.

Although i wouln't expect a 90mm f2/2.8 lens for $299 to not have this issues...if AF is included of course.
