Keep going back to the '5'

Use these (DSC-HX#V) for work (Adjuster)...

Been through many..   Tried the 7 and 9 - and both had much shorter life than the '5'.  If you are searching on ebay for a deal - the 5 is usually 1/2 the cost and isn't lacking much in the way of functionality (or so I've experienced).

Weak link - lens motor...  In both 7 and 9 models.  My 5's (on my fourth) have endured being dropped, banged, bashed, and the usually extremes in temps - and they keep going (for a while).  I'm NOT a fan of the ruggedized / weatherproof cams (zooms are bad).  These are cheap enough on ebay - they are disposable (and the batteries move onto the next).

My only real complaints - not lasting as their predecessors have, and no real improvement from model to model...
