Post-processing order for best print results?

I've posted this also over in the print fourm....

Greetings,

I'm using a Nikon D7100, 24mp (4000x6000)  on a project for which I need larger prints, preferably about 20x30.

Currently, I do my raw conversion and cropping etc. in Capture NX-D. I have been saving the file, usually as a JPG, by specifying the print size (20x30) and a DPI of 300. From Capture I open the file in NIK Silver Efx for the B&W conversion and editing. Then save again as a JPG.

Can you tell me if this is the correct procedure for the best quality print? It's occurred to me that maybe I shouldn't be resizing in Capture and forcing the 300DPI?

Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. I really have no idea if the sequence matters or if there is a better way to get good results. Thanks!
