Much maligned Sony menu

I've seen a lot of people complain about the Sony menu system, and to be honest as I was contemplating transitioning from my Nikon system to Sony it did concern me a bit.

However, after a little bit of time and a couple of studio sessions with the new A7R IV, I have to say that it's not really that bad. Like anything else, you get pretty accustomed to how to locate the most often used areas of the menu or setting up the camera for easy access.

Bottom line, if you're contemplating moving to Sony but may be reticent because of menu horror stories, don't be. If you spend just a little dedicated time with it, like anything else, it can become pretty second nature.
