Eric Kim on photography and more
5

I know that many feel that Eric Kim is some kind of poser but I disagree.

Having read a lot of his blog I find it very inspirational. Who else talks about shooting for the sheer joy of it? Who else suggests just to shoot for yourself and not "the crowd"? He takes a very Zen POV and puts a lot of it into his blog. Perhaps photography is not about the photo but finding yourself in your photography? Maybe by finding things to shoot you become more than you were before? Think beyond the gear and the image and think about how photography can/has made you a better human.

I think that he is the D.T. Suzuki of photography. Many may think that he and I are full of crap but ask yourself WHAT DOES PHOTOGRAPHY REALLY MEAN TO YOU? Has it taken you to a place beyond yourself or are you in the same place you were when you took your first photo?

I welcome your flames and arrows, Please shoot away....

I submit this photo in honor of his site.
