Need opinions on the a6600 vs 7Dii for birdwatching

I'm looking for anyone with insight into the a6600 versus the 7Dii with regards to birdwatching. I already own the 7Dii and while I've gotten a lot of use out of it, the higher ISO performance is really starting to irritate me. I had hoped Canon would put out something in the last couple years, but all they produced was the 90D...which is just not what I'm looking for.

I was thinking of switching to Sony; none of my birdwatching friends use Sony gear so I can't ask them. Cost doesn't matter to me, nor does ergonomics and menu systems and all that. I'm after peak IQ, and high ISO performance. I don't do a ton of bird-in-flight so tracking isn't a huge deal for me.

Thanks!
