Canon shutter actuations
3

Why does Canon make it difficult to find the accurate shutter counts on their cameras? That's like buying a car and not being able to read the odometer and see how many miles/kilometers the car has been driven. It should be standard just opening the image in something like Photoshop. I've attempted to get the shutter count on this 5DSR and 3 of the utilities online, an EOS Utility, Tornado, and a Shuttercount program are all filled with Malware so even when you try to find ways to get a shutter actuation count there are the added problems of Canon not making this easy to get a hold of. What is the purpose in making this number hidden? There's no benefit except to scammers selling cameras and misrepresenting how much they have been used.
