D780 or D4?

Backstory - full time professional photog of 15 years, commercial D2B mostly.

I have a D4 that I’ve had for a very long time. It’s been my daily driver since 2012. It has about 400,000 clicks on it. I still used it a few times this year despite mostly being replaced with an E-M1X since February...

..which is fine.

The D800 is my studio camera, locked down on a salon stand. But the AF of the D4 nor the VR in the 70-200 can hold a candle to what the Olympus does.

My question is, will the AF in the D780 be better than the D4? I feel like unless I buy a D5, I’ll never be able to use my 1.8 lenses wide open with any confidence. I tried a D850 and it was OKAY. I really don’t need 40+MP either, for anything that I do.

This will definitely be the last DSLR I buy too, it will spend its distant future next to my F6.
