Heading to Angkor

Im heading to Siem Reap in a few hours. Im going primarily for scout reasons, so wll wander Cambo for about 10 days. Im prpbably gonna use Siem as my base next winter, as I would like to concentrate on some ruins. Plus, I can roll back and forth to BKK for like $150 max RT.

My travel battery: G9 with 12-60PL and 50-200 in a Tenba. I am bringing a super light travel tripod.I have 6 batteries. Im meeting with a fellow pro who does photo tours.

I am not schlepping a flash.

Any body got any tips? I may be going to Preay Vihear too. I may not, beleive it or not, do Angkor Dawn photos because you need to get up at 4am (no problem) but its Chinese NYs...big problem. Tourist attack. So I may save dawn to next trip.

If someone has any equipment recs, lay it on me fast as I am off to airport at 4. Dont say  PL 8-18, Im not paying $1100 for one (exhange and tariffs). Dont tell me buy an Olympus 12-100 because those lenses are cheesy.  I do have ND and Polarizer Filters, remote, etc.

Happy picturating!
