I posted my experiences with this new waterproof camera over on the Kodak forum with photos attached too. Awesome little camera and very affordable at $149.! Comments welcome.

Hmm, great price point but those images posted are just mush at 100% and look like seriously over processed- much worse than a Olympus TG-4 and that was not a stellar performer for image quality. Even an Apple iPhone 7 does better. Check the sample pictures on this site.

This is typical of camera makers since going digital - if they make something waterproof then they sacrifice image quality or sell for excessive prices.

Frankly I'd spend the money on a camera housing for a good existing camera.

Any small sensor image viewed at 100% is a compromise. Since you appear to be a pixel peeker, then this camera is not for you. Agree about housings being optimal, but there are certainly trade offs for that setup too. Regarding the iPhone 7: like many smartphones, they can capture a good looking image, but if you pixel peek, you will also see some degradation in IQ. I know the 7 is water resistant, but not water proof so a housing is needed. I print large on my Canon Pro 100 and these small sensor cameras kick out a fine looking print even out to the Canon's max size of 13x19.  Underwater photos coming soon.
