Just how useful is image stabilisation on Z6 with F lenses already with IS?

Hi All

I have a Z6/24-70 and quite like the new D780 for its excellent battery life and the ability to use easily the Nikon F range of lenses that I already have (70-300is, 24-120is, 17-35, Sigma 15mm).

However, when using these lenses and adapter on Z6, does the image stabilisation make them any better stability wise if the lenses already have IS?

Also I really like the negative photo-taking ability of the D780 as I am of that old generation that has loads of negs. Can a software update possibly enable this on Z series.

I am being offered a deal to exchange my Z6/24-70 and QXD card/reader + £500 on top for just D780 body by a dealer. I am 57 years of age and unlikely to buy any more Z lenses due to cost and carry on with what I have. Is that a good deal in your opinion?

Regards

Tan
