People very optimistic here. 3.rd party lens makers that can get along with only one mount to work with both EF and R line on cameras will not go for two before the volume tips very clearly to the mirrorless side. They have almost no incentive and its very uncertain the glass will be or work better than what they already can achieve by just keeping up copying the EF software to their best ability

Disagree. Canon, the largest camera company in the world, is going all-in with the RF mount. That is all that a third party lens maker needs to know, to guide their next generation of products. I have no doubt that Sigma, Tamron, et al. are hard at work developing lenses for RF mount. The only real question is whether, or to what degree, Canon has protected (through engineering and/or patents) the RF protocol.

SInce Samyang already has an RF lens out with AF, and no one to my knowledge has reported that high speed display or any other EF only incompatibilities have shown up, I'd say the mount issue is highly exaggerated.

Also, Canon isn't going to kill off third party access to its mount via lawsuit, etc.  they do realize that it's important for the mount.  They may not entirely like it, but they also know it's a necessary evil.
