The G7 is widely available in the U.K., new from Panasonic dealers. I doubt it is still being manufactured. Regardless, given the small differential in price, the G80 is a far better camera and the one to go for if buying ‘last years model’. Had the G7, now have 2 G80s.

I had a look at the general specs for the G80 camera and compared to the G7 I don't see much difference. What attracted you to the G80 camera?
I think the G80 does not have a built-in flash.

Brian,

I upgraded from G6 (my first M43) to the G7 attracted by the twin-front/ rear control wheels that suit my 99% usage Aperture Priority. I did not expect to upgrade again but only 12 months later I attended a Photo Show ( Wilkinson’s Digital Splash in Liverpool). I was immediately smitten by the solid and rugged feel compared to the plasticky feel of the G7.

I was looking for a light small camera when I was planning on going over seas in early 2018 and at the time the G7 seemed to be the best choice as the plastic body made it lighter than some of the other cameras. I was also pleased that I could buy the camera with a 10x zoom lens.

There were a few problems that I was not aware of at the time I brought the G7 such as shutter shake at a certain shutter speed and focusing problems when video recording.
But most of my holiday shots were OK/

The other thing I had not considered was that the sensor suited 4:3 ratio photos where I prefer 3:2 ratio as I often display my photos on a 16:9 screen. Setting the camera to 3:2 ration means I reduce from 16k down to 14k in pixel count for my photos.
