Sony tethered shooting in C1: is a T USB allowed?

Hi,

I want to use an external foot trigger to keep both hands free and accelerate the process of photographing multiple slides and negatives.

I think I have the solution to fiddle this.

But what I now realise is that there is only one USB Sony Multiport plug on the camera (A7RII), and I need it to link the camera to the Mac.

If I had a PC, the easy solution is a Chinese USB pedal switch that can be programmed with a key touch, which I got but unfortunately they provide no software for Mac.

So I'm now thinking of a T micro USB plug which *maybe* will allow the pedal switch to be plugged in parallel with the tethering USB cable. I have no idea if this accessory plug can be found and if the type of connection is authorized. Maybe someone would have an idea?

Thanks

Paul
