The G7 is widely available in the U.K., new from Panasonic dealers. I doubt it is still being manufactured. Regardless, given the small differential in price, the G80 is a far better camera and the one to go for if buying ‘last years model’. Had the G7, now have 2 G80s.
I had a look at the general specs for the G80 camera and compared to the G7 I don't see much difference. What attracted you to the G80 camera?
I think the G80 does not have a built-in flash.

Brian,
I upgraded from G6 (my first M43) to the G7 attracted by the twin-front/ rear control wheels that suit my 99% usage Aperture Priority. I did not expect to upgrade again but only 12 months later I attended a Photo Show ( Wilkinson’s Digital Splash in Liverpool). I was immediately smitten by the solid and rugged feel compared to the plasticky feel of the G7. Dual-IS, makes a big difference, especially if using kit level lenses starting at f3.5. Weathersealing and the zoom range of the 12-60mm are big pluses too. The EVF angle of view is better too ( significant for me as I wear glasses). There was a show offer on, saving £100 plus a free battery grip with extra battery. So, I took the plunge. The part-ex offer on the G7 was abysmal. I sold the G7 on eBay at a much better price.
In October 2018, I attended a LUMIX event, ostensibly to try the 15mm. Unfortunately the reps were unable to explain the workings of the 15mm ( the auto/manual switch ). So, I didn’t buy one. But there was a special event discount offer coupon/code that could be used in conjunction with a current Panasonic UK Cashback offer, a G80 net cost of circa £500. So, I bought another G80 ( yes, with another 12-60mm the price differential being less than I could get for it on eBay). Having two G80s means I can have coverage of 8-18 + 14-140 in cities or 14-140 + 100-400mm for wildlife, without lens changing. One charger, same shared spare batteries, etc.
In the run up to Christmas just gone, there were some very attractive offers on the G80 and G9. eBay secondhand prices for the G80 have recently dropped to under £500. Also worth looking at the eBay Panasonic Outlet for refurbs with full guarantee.
No doubt I will, eventually, buy a G9 for wildlife but for this next year, getting out and using what I have is the priority.
