Hiw about using a longer plate to shift the balance backwards?

FWIW, I disable OIS (and everything else) when shooting on tripod (anything stable) regardless of the camera.

I used a came TV 7800 gimbal which is a huge pain to balance anyways. The issue with using a plate to get the balance right is some gimbals will have contact with the viewfinder against one of the motors. In my case I believe I had to remove the rubber eyepiece to push it back that little bit extra. I no longer have the gimbal. I don't think OIS will cause issues on a gimbal, I think it may have helped actually with micro jitters. Dis would cause problems. On a tripod, there's no need to run stabilization, unless you are doing movements of course.
