Digitizing film negatives with XF 60mm macro

I am thinking about picking up a film camera again. I've done this before and regret selling it.

The plan is to shoot B&W, process it at home and digitize with my X-T3 with a macro lens and a light table as shown here:

The Fuji-X ecosystem offers two macro lenses, and the cheaper one is the 60mm f/2.4 but it only has 1:2 ratio. According to my math, APS-C sensor is exactly half the size of a 35mm film frame, so at the closest focus distance this lens will cover the entire frame.

Is that correct? Just asking for a 2nd opinion. I *hate* returning equipment and this lens is much cheaper than the 80mm macro.

Thank you.
