From an EOS M100 to an M6
1

Hello to the community,

It's been about 9 months since I got my M100, and I've come to really enjoy it.  It's a super compact camera that delivers very nice image quality and it was really easy getting used to it coming from a smartphone.  However, I did have some gripes with it regarding its size and mainly its complete lack of a front grip, since I have fairly big hands. Also after I got a bit more accustomed to the triangle of settings (aperture/shutter speed/iso) I wanted something with more dials so I dont have to use the touchscreen as much as I do on the M100.

Fast forward to new year sales and I'm now a happy owner of a new MK1 M6 body which I picked up for 300 euros (hoping to sell the M100 for around 250 so I minimize the total cost). I really like this body so far. It feels much more solid and quality built than the M100 with the rubber body and aluminium (?) top/bottom plates, the grip makes holding onto it much more comfortable and it feels very nicely balanced with my 32mm F1.4. The thing that I enjoy the most though are the control dials this little body offers.  Excluding the mode dial, the thing has 4! dials that can be used to adjust various settings in such a small form factor. I still need to get used to the different placement of the info/menu buttons compared to my M100, but it has been a blast using it!
