Do you guys send files to the printing lab in RBG or convert your files to grayscale?

Mostly i struggle when i print in metal, trying to get my b&w photos consistent in grayscale, sometimes they look amazing and i get same file reprinted and comes out completely different in tonality and contrast. Does anyone else have this issue?

by metal, you meant metal prints (aluminium)? That's a die sublimation process. you are doing black and white with color dies. You will never get pure black and white. You'll generally get cold (green/cyan) cast on the dark areas, and magenta cast on the highlights.

Some photolabs print on silver black and white papers, but is not really popular. The best way to print black and white is inkjet, on paper or canvas.
