Re: Mt Fuji, the Olympic Games and the rush to get new cameras on the market

Seems a bit like wishful thinking to me. Sure, from a marketing perspective, it might be an opportunity. But not being a sponsored partner of the Olympics, Fuji has limited potential to straight up leverage the Olympic games for a launch.

Currently, Fuji - for a relatively small manufacturer - offers 7 current camera models (not counting X-Pro2, X-T2, X-T20 and X-A5 that are still listed on the Fujifilm website). Unless there wasn't already a refresh planned (like the X-T4), I don't expect Fuji to rush a camera out the door for the Olympics. The reputational harm to the brand/system would undo any potential short term sales. Fuji in particular, with its Kaizen approach, will be very deliberate about the quality of products at release.
