The UK launch price (according to WEX) including 20% sales tax is £2,399. Net of tax this is £2,000. Allowing for exchange rate differences the UK price seems usefully lower priced at launch in the UK

The 5.5 stops in lens VR is the first from Nikon with a 24x36 format lens.

For those confused about IBIS, Nikon's Z6 &7 5 stops IBIS is "a maximum" at 70mm on the 24-70 f4. This would interpolate into about 3.5 stops IBIS at 210mm.

At longer focal lengths (from all manufacturers) in lens VR is more effective than IBIS.

It is too early for user testing by my trusted users.

If it is as good as the 24-70 f2.8 S it may become widely recognised as the best optical performing 70-200 from any manufacturer.

Well Nikon already have this accolade with the current FL version. I'm thinking Nikon were right on the money with their larger lens mount and shorter flange to sensor distance with the Z cameras, and to think so many so called experts were writing Nikon off, in reality Nikon's expertise and experience are in many ways class leading! Go Nikon, this is merely the beginning.
