Can a telescope eyepiece be used in place of an objective lens?

I've read about using microscope objectives on the front of a regular camera lens. I've obtained a Kellner eyepiece a while ago for a telescope, the eyepiece being virtually identical to an objective lens. I was thinking about mounting the eyepiece on the front of my telephoto lenses. I thought about the best method to do so, and if it's possible to do without ordering anything or destroying anything, like getting an extra lens cap or destroying a filter. Is it possible to make a lens cap and drill a hole in it, and/or attach the lens cap to a filter?

58mm & 62mm (filter thread) telephoto lenses
