Better option than a Canon 55-250mm f/4-5.6 IS STM for my first telephoto?

Hi,

i have an EOS M100, and i recently got really hyped about wanting to shoot wildlife.

To be honest, the most important factor is price.(this lens is about 210-230$ if i saw correctly)

I would love to buy a bigger mm lens, but sadly (as far as i know) i would need like 400, or 600mm to shoot wildlife properly aaand that is not exactly the budget i have.

So i found the mentioned lens, and it seemed like a decent one to begin practising with. I would probably take it to the Zoo at first, then to the forest to capture some brave, close enough birds, lizards etc. (my country isnt famous for too much wildlife animals :D)

What are my options for this usage? (other than this particular lens)
(I know i need to use the EF-M adapter)
