I didn't still get any reports the sigma f/1.8 zooms would all of a sudden work flawless with Canon dslr's as it comes to AF.
My 18-35mm was professionally calibrated, but AF was still all over the place.
I know there where firmware updates for those zooms, and these updates might have given small improvements, however, on my 70D i never got them to work good enough for shooting wide open, especially with off center AF points. It might be good enough to shoot at f/4.0 or so.
It bares repeating -
Yeah, you are repeating claims, but you don't come up with any sources nor are you providing evidence otherwise the AF of the sigma lenses all of a sudden will work with Canon dslr's, while on the other hand a lot of respectable lens reviewers reported AF problems with Sigma lenses on Canon bodies.
Read the numerous posts by the OP.

Ok, so again you’ve got no evidence, just one the internet’. And was that with the 90D? No?
I don’t need to come up with sources the AF suddenly works, the AF has always worked. But you seem to be missing the far more pertinent information which is how much will this supposed defect affect the OP? That is not something you seem terribly capable of fathoming. So let me work it out for you.
The OP will use the camera for 40% stills. They have said the majority of the time they do NOT use the viewfinder and only do so in very bright conditions. So from that that might use the viewfinder 5% of the time they shoot stills. So approx 2% of the total time they shoot this camera.
Now how often does these focus issues affect shots on the Sigma lenses (when using the OVF)? 10%? 20%? More likely it is less than 5%, but let’s say 20% because you think it is SO systemic and a plague on this combo (even though you have never, ever used it). So 20% of 2% is 0.4%.
So this life changing issue that means the OP couldn’t possibly ever consider the 90D (based on your expert opinion) will likely ever only affect a maximum of 0.4% of usage for the OP. I can certainly see why you’re so worried about that amount, I mean I’m sure all your brick walls and cats are 100% in focus and perfectly composed and that 0.4% is just unacceptable, but for the rest of us mere mortals it is likely an insignificant value.
