Does a Gearhead ever become sated?
1

We need gear to keep the rage going but surely for all intents and purposes if we cannot find the great gear we really need from the current catalogue then we surely should not be wanting even more.

It seems that the whole process revolves around the seeming need for a huge smorgasbord of product on offer from which the enthused market wishes to cherry pick two or three item for their own specific use.  It is not as if anyone buys every product that is released.  More product only gives us more things to talk about whether it is as good at satisfied needs is something else.  Talk is always about the finer points of how the product might or might not perform and of course how expensive it is.

If expense is an issue then surely you don’t really need it.

Without the new product that the certainty is that we may not buy then the knives will surely be out for the M4/3 system as a whole.

So what is the really long term solution? - every year: a  makeover the controls, change the colour scheme and market it as the MkXV.

We are surely to still be able to be excited even if it is just to criticise the new colour scheme ...
