Thanks Alcelc.
It was interesting to read how you use the 4k photo feature on your camera.
Far as I know there isn't a 'delete all 4k photos except the ones I've marked' option for 4k photo modes
As 4K photo mode will produce a single MP4 and upon this, we can extract frames into individual jpg. Therefore, after orchestrated the useful jpgs, we can just delete that MP4 like any video file.
Those extracted jpgs become a individual photo will need to delete one by one or use the erase all option.
but it would be useful to have one. or maybe the option of deleting a range of photos apart from the protected photos.
The other problem you pointed out is that the camera needs time to recover as it's writing the photos from the 4k photo mode to memory.
It is no difference from shooting video. When we end the 4K photo shooting, it will return to standby mode in not much observable delay. Smart for Panny to apply video technique on still shooting.
I have not used this mode except to test it out but it's good to know that it's available if needed.

Enjoy it.
I must be wrong as my understanding was that the camera creates a series of still photos to choose from just like it does in the normal photo taking mode, but if like you say it produces a single mp4 file then it's easier to delete once the photos are chosen.

The Fujifilm X-T5 is the company's latest classically-styled APS-C mirrorless camera. It gains the 40MP sensor and AF system from the X-H2 but in a body with a more stills-focused slant. We've been putting it through its paces.
