Old Fuji 16mp sensor vs 16mp m43 sensor in low light…

Hi,

I use 16mp M43 cameras and have been really happy with them. Mostly use fast old manual short Tele to Tele primes with Focal Reducers and native primes in the 28-35mm EFL range, plus the kit lenses.

I’m thinking of selling a camera or two to get an APSC model with a focal reducer or maybe if I wait until next summer a second hand Sony A7ii. The main two reasons are that I now have many old 35mm format lenses and it be interesting to try them in the format they were intended for and the other reason is that I’m sometimes shooting in very low light and the M43 results are decent but an extra 1-1.5% would be very welcome. Don’t plan on switching formats just adding something that might be fun to use and offers something different to what I already have…

When I checked DPR’s Fuji for the X-E series the high ISO sample images, I wasn’t impressed. Then I checked the Images for my cameras and those are not great either. So, didn’t find that all that helpful.

These are a few of the question I’m trying to sort out…

-Do the X-T10, X-E1 and X-E2 share the same sensor?

-Is the 16mp sensor better than the 24mp in low light?

-Has anyone shot both the 16mp fuji vs the 16mp Sony manufactured M43 sensor and can confirm the 1 stop noise advantage?

The budget is USD $ 250+/-, please don’t suggest  $500+ options...

I know next to nothing about Fuji, so any other advice will be much appreciated.
