Have you tried the 200-500 with a sling strap such as a Blackrapid? At 69 I'm not sure I'd fancy carrying my gripped D7200 with the 200-500 for very long but with a Sport Breathe I can easily carry it all day.

Actually I can carry the lens all day - hand hold the tripod foot. But I'm not strong enough to hold it in a shooting position for very long time. Especially when waiting for the bird to make some 'action'. Or when panning birds in flight for longer duration.
