Canon 35 mm F/1.4L II USM rattle sound
Re: Canon 35 mm F/1.4L II USM rattle sound
I've sent my lens to CPS twice in 2019. And result - normal. I think i can't do anything for now. After last diagnostic, play of the focus ring has become much smaller (yes i have this problem too) and tests (Imatest, Reikan Focal) became give good results. For example, before "diagnostic" Focal software results - 5% astigmatism every tests at F/1.4. For now, result is 0.5 - 0.8 % (tested using different light situation) . And I think photos became more contrast. May be disassembly process helped... I don't know. But it's very strange for me, why they (CPS) not fixed the issue, besides the lens was already disassembled. May be it is really "manufacturer tolerance". Or may be fix process required large investments in time and money...
P.S. I've sent the lens to main CPS of my country, not authorized service. They directly relate to Canon Inc.
