RF 24-105 L vs RF 24-240

In terms of sharpness at comparable length, say 24 mm @ F8.0 or 85mm @ F5.6, is the RF 24-240 mm sharper than the RF 24-105L.

Logic and previous L experience would say otherwise but I am looking at charts that say otherwise, unless I am misreading the charts.

The center sharpness graphs seem to suggest F4 - F11 if sharper on the 10x zoom all the way through.

Anybody use these side-by-side?

I am disregarding filter thread dimension, weight, cost, weather sealing for this discussion.

EDIT: I have the EOS R with 24-105L loaded on my cart as we speak and got waylaid by the apparent sharpness of the 24-240. Up-grading/Side-grading from 80D and 18-135mm for dof and smaller size. Choosing the R over RP for physical shutter cover, LP-E6 battery and LCD on top.

Canon EOS 80D
