I sold my NX500 for a A6400. The A6400 has a great auto focus and I bought it in first view for doing portraits. Excellent with the Sigma 56mm. I got rid of my much two heavy 85mm from Samsung, which was a great lens.
im so confused.....in my country,nx500 is on sale about 400,500 bucks, and you just sold one for a 1 grand a6400? such a miracle, dude. im glad you have done it....well done!
Now my question: Can anybody out on this planet do a comparasion between the 2 above mentioned lenses? I saw some test of the new Sony 16-55mm and the testers are very happy with this new lens. Sharp until the corners and even compared to some fixed focal length it is amazingly good.
well i'm not here to answer this...so no answer yet,sorry..
I searched the web, but could not found any comparative test, not even comparable tests in any photo magazine.
that samsung lens is rare, like really rare,no magazines would compare that...or even write a thread about it...i hope they do,the last post about samsung nx i saw was in 2010,the nx11,after then i haven't seen any further posts about samsung, thats how it dies.
The only big disadvantage I can see is that the Sony lens has no stabilizer.
big win for samsung. it has ois,two are same prices, samsung has larger aperture and ifunction....big win, dude.

Funny you say about ifunction. I love the idea of it and it's a great feature. However I never ever use it! I think maybe I would if the 30mm had it, meaning that all the lenses I own have it...
i know, people hardly use ifunction. if i were you, then i would touch those Fn and Menu buttons first before even thinking anything about the little button on the lens.
life is easy. if any button is usable near my thumb, then i'll press it,whatsoever.
