Re: Nikkon E 100 2.8

Well, the series E 50/1.8 is one of the best lenses I've ever had - small, light, excellent optically, and not in the slightest plastic-ey. Best not to generalise! The main lack is coatings in some light, but I'll take that for it's tiny quality.

It was bought along with a Nikon EM in 1981. "Fortunately" the camera - but not the lens, was stolen a few years later, so that I now have a Nikon F601 slr which I still use to this day....

I regret I gave the 50/1.8 to my brother as an adapted lens on an Olympus MFT as a portrait prime last year. I want it back!

Matthew Durr did a set of reviews of Series E on a NEX some years back.
