That's a great shot but why did you take it at such a high ISO? You could've used ISO 200 and 1/50 with less noise to worry about.

It was really windy and I didn't want to get blurred trees or sea. Also I was shooting fully manual and a few moments ago it was really dark. On moments like this (cloudy, sunrise time) light can change very fast so probably the camera settings were not the best for that specific moment.

Do you find the image too noisy? Obviously the raw show significant noise, but I put some effort processing it.

I did not. Was gonna ask io_bg "what is this noise you speak of?" Maybe a bit of luminance noise in the gray clouds, but I've seen that at ISO 200.

By the way, somehow the Exif tags have changed during postprocessing. Real shooting parameters were SS 1/800 s, f/5.6, ISO 3200

Having become tired of my background, I took your image and stretched it to 3820x2160 to fit my screen. The tree is maybe leaning over too far, but it just adds to the drama. I'll add your name to the EXIF, which has correct shutter speed after my GIMP edit. Maybe DPreview is inaccurate when doing arithmetic?

P.S. I might do it again and try to eliminate the orange highlight of the sun on dark trees.
