Sigma FP - 8bit raw vs Sony's flat profile
1

Hi everyone,

When shooting at 120fps with Sony's A7III, we can't record raw but we can use a picture control (flat profile) that allows to lift the shadows before the video is converted/saved in 8 bits, giving us more dynamic range to work with, even if the final video is only 8 bit non raw.

I'm wondering how would Sigma FP's 8-bit raw (best possible quality at 120fps) would compare regarding dynamic range. Would anyone be able to comment on this?

Thanks!
