Re: What focal length for the most realistic pictures?

As others said around 40mm FL or 35mm FL from what I also heard in the past.

My new Voigtlander (CV) FE Nokton 40/1.2 shines that is replacing Loxia 35. The new CV lenses - 21/1.4 (which I will also get), 40/1.2, 50/1.2 and likely also the forthcoming 50/2.0 Lanthar (could be one of the sharpest FE lenses) are simply amazing that combine Loxia characters (sunstar, micro contrast and rendering) and fast aperture (that usually only from bulky portrait lenses) together, so good for both stop-down landscape and shallow-DOF street photos.

full size on A7r IV @ f1.2 wide open, already pretty sharp that is impressive

full size on A7r IV
