Portrait - How to feature model's blue eyes?

Hi all,

I have a studio shoot coming up.  The only purpose for it is for me to try to improve my portraiture, practice, and try out some creative things.  One of the models best features are her fantastic blue eyes.  This could be anything from a normal portrait accentuating her eyes to something more of a eye closeup, or something abstract or creative featuring her eyes.  Do you guys have any tips or ideas on this?

From what I have read, one important thing would be to make sure that there is a decent amount of light on her so that the pupils are smaller so I can see more of the iris in the picture, right?  Early in the session, I will have a good amount of natural light coming through a window.

Any suggestions or examples would be appreciated.
