New Photoshop/ACR delete key behavior?

After installing PS CC on my new laptop, I noticed that numeric fields behavior has changed. Some AI behind the scenes now thinks that when I delete a value (e.g. exposure correction of +1.23 in ACR) I, in fact, still need that number. So, when I pres up/down arrow afterward, it does not start from 0 the way it used to. Now, instead of 0.05 I get 1.28.

Very annoying:

- I did delete that value, let's start from 0!

- no-no-no, take it! you'll need it, believe me, my friend!

Also, when a leave a field empty, (del - tab - del - tab... to clear up a few pre-filled numbers) I get a message with a DING! sound saying something like

Anybody knows how to revert this "feature" back? I want empty numeric fields assume their default values, not to keep what I've just deleted!
