Anyone have great night landscape or night city scenes?

Ive seen good day shots, don’t know how good this camera is for point shoot night scenes

What do you mean by "point shoot"? Shooting Jpgs in the night produces less keepers with any camera. Shoot raws with the fast f1.8 lens and do some postprocessing.

I wasn’t referencing jpegs. This camera shoots RAW, it’s in the point and shoot category compared to DSLR for example.

I returned a G5XII (it was not better than my G7XII) and have erased my lowlight test shots unfortunately. But I am assuming that an APS-C sensor would be more adequate to the task.

Well was your G7 good then?

I have to say that I like to shoot trees and birds. Both G7 and the new G5 showed too much purple fringing (twigs before bight sky) for my admiitedly special hobby. My cheap and small sensor Panasonic TZ91 (ZS70) does a much better job despite its other shortcomings. Otherwise I consider the G5XII a good camera.
