EVF lag is a thing of the past?

Hi All,

In my search for a 0 lag EVF mirrorless camera to replace my trusted Nikon D3s DSLR for fast action indoor sports, I was told by one Olympus Ambassador that "EVF lag is a thing of the past". Is this true?  Others advised that high burst rate of mirrorless camera should compensate for the inevitable EVF lag. The machine gun approach does not work for me since I use fill flash to get the results I wanted. Just like the machine gun's barrel, the flash would get overheated in no time. In short, are we there yet to replace OVF with the latest EVF to capture the peak moments?
