Luminar4 as a LR plug-in
2

I have too much in a LR's asset management to want to part with LR.Cl.CC, but Im always interested in new developing tools.

Luminar4 as a RAW developer, as one would develop in LR, I'm finding a refreshing change to a rewarding end. I'm a little distracted with the AI features, specifically the general the sky and image enhancement. But mainly, for finishing I think the sharpening feature for Fuji is great, and back in LR a last pass output sharpening can be considered (if so, LR takes to the TIFF quite well).

If I'm going to create an extra asset anyway (X-Transf., Enh. Details, PS), I find doing more of the global and local applications with layers, in addition, quite rewarding. Not sure if it's just the novelty of a new interface and workflow to learn, but it's grown on me. I haven't been so encouraged by a developing app since Aperture (as it was abandoned, I reluctantly turned to LR, and that's grown on me since),

There's a lot more to L4 than that, but as an alternative demosaicer and developer in the basic sense. . . I'm really surprised.

Anyone else (pro or con)?
